Stringers determine structural integrity; the more stringers, the stronger the pallet. Returnable pallets are made with three stringers — a good way to cut corners during mass-production, but a bad way to build a pallet. The boards are easily bent and broken, leading to the all-too- familiar sight of patched or missing boards, missing nails, cracked support blocks and significant overall damage.
The Prima Pallet is built with four stringers, not just three — a small addition that greatly increases the structural integrity. Our boards are rock-steady, which is why you’ll never see a Prima Pallet in anything less than excellent condition. If one of our pallets should suffer the smallest hint of damage, it is immediately removed from service. Ironically, as a result, most of our customers tell us they get far more reuse from Prima Pallets than from returnable pallets!
