Our packinghouses are located next to the orchards, so Prima® fruit does not travel long distances in its harvest container.


We harvest and pack the same day. Many shippers are not able to harvest and pack the same day. So, they precool the fruit before packing, and then re-warm it for preconditioning.

Fruit does not precondition properly if it has been precooled below 60 degrees before preconditioning.

To represent ownership of packed quality, each packing employee affixes her photo to each Prima® box. All employees are paid on a sliding scale based on the quality of their own work.
